With the change of ownership from MOOG Inc. to AXXERON Technologies GmbH, MOOG Luxembourg S.à r.l. was renamed AXXERON Hydrolux S.à r.l. On the one hand, this is a further step in the AXXERON Group’s umbrella brand strategy and indicates that the company belongs to a dynamically growing group of companies. On the other hand, it refers to the origins of the Hydrolux company and its focus on technologically demanding solutions in the field of (servo-) hydraulic products and systems.
The German AXXERON Group acquires 100% of the shares of MOOG Luxembourg S.à r.l. as of October 1, 2024. Within the new group structure, the Luxembourg company occupies a strategically important position. The product and service portfolio will be expanded in a targeted manner. As a one-stop shop, AXXERON offers its customers added value.
The best-in-class X700 product is innovative and IoT-ready. Its flow-optimized design enables smaller sizes and significant efficiency gains. The new design allows maximum flow at a maximum pressure of 420 bar. Thanks to its robustness and accuracy, the X700 series provides reliable control for die-casting machines, presses, and many other industrial applications.
These 2-way cartridge valves are used primarily to prevent unintentional movement of actuators in hydraulic systems. They are equipped with an electric position switch to monitor the closed position of the cartridge piston. The position monitoring enables the valves to be used in safety-related parts of control systems.
The new production site is being built on a modern industrial estate in the south of Luxembourg City. The new 5,000 m² site is tailored to the production processes, enabling efficient manufacturing.
Four years after the initial investment in Hydrolux S.à r.l., MOOG Inc. acquires the remaining 25% of the shares. MOOG Hydrolux S.à r.l. changes its name to MOOG Luxembourg S.à r.l.
In 1998, the US company MOOG Inc. acquired 75% of the shares in Hydrolux S.à r.l. From then on, the company operated under the name MOOG Hydrolux S.à r.l. Moog Inc. is a global manufacturer of precision control components and systems. The range offered by Hydrolux S.à r.l. enabled MOOG to expand its portfolio.
In October 1982, Hydrolux S.à r.l. was established in Luxembourg by Paul Wurth S.A. The company develops and manufactures hydraulic systems for industrial machinery.
